-The slaughter of Tlatelolco-

It was October 2, 1968, that day was called the Tlatelolco Massacre.

It was on July 22, 1968 that it all began, due to the depression of the students.

It was by the police forces of the federal district.

It was due to a fight between the students of FP 2 and 5 of the IPN,

and the Isaac Ochoterena high school, incorporated into the UNAM.

We’re according to some sources, around 10,000 students, teachers, parents and others
who supported the movement gathered in the square of the three cultures.

There were two helicopters, one from the police and the other from the army, flew over the
square. Around 5:55 p.m. Green flares were fired from the nearby building of the Mexican
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and around 6:15 p.m. meter. Two more flares were fired, this time
from a helicopter (one green and one red) as 5,000 soldiers and 200 tanks and trucks
surrounded the plaza.

There is data that occurred after the first shots in the plaza was poorly defined for decades
after 1968, the records and information published by government sources in the United
States and Mexico since 2000 have allowed investigators to study the facts and draw new
conclusions. .
There is the question of who fired first remained unresolved for years after the massacre, the
Mexican government said that shots from neighboring departments triggered the army
attack, but the students said the helicopters seemed to signal the army to fire into the crowd.

There are rumors that the government was the one who started attacking the students and
the government tried to disprove that theory.
There is news that the government said that around 1,345 were arrested, but on the other
hand there was an investigation and testimonies that there were around 300 to 400 dead and
1000 injured
