EVALUATOR/S
Professional Science Teacher/s
E.C Bernabe National High School

Sir/ Madam:

Greetings of peace and gratitude!

The senior high school student of E.C Bernabe National High school is conducting the thesis entitled:
“Proposed Water Spinach (Ipomoea Aquatica Forssk) Plant Pigment Extract as Developmental Eco-Friendly
Dye”. An observation involving the authority of professional science teachers will be involved via the use of
a rating scale with a given criteria in evaluating the ink as respondents with water color as the highest score
for reference.
With the current coordinator of the Chemistry Laboratory in E.C Bernabe National Highschool as the
main evaluator, the researcher would like to ask for permission to use a weighting, and thermometer tool in
the span of days before the final research defense within the school vicinity.
This stated, the researcher would like your expertise to validate the attached research instrument and
scale to qualify for conduction. Knowing your experience in the field of research and education, I would like
to ask for your help in validating the said instrument before administering the output of this study.
I have attached here in sequence the validation sheet, standardized research instrument of this study,
rating scale with its corresponding criteria, and the informed consent letter. I will be glad to hear your
suggestions and comments for the improvement of the instrument. I am looking forward that my request
would merit your highly appreciated positive response.

Respectfully yours,

JOSE GABRIEL PANILO MANLAPAZ

Research Instrument
The quantitative mediums in this study will be mortar and pestle, thermometer, containers, straining
tools, measuring, and weighting scale provided by the availability E.C Bernabe National Highschool has
located in Atilano L. Ricardo, Bagac, Bataan, Philippines. If eligible to be used for pressing and boiling, in
extracting the pigment of the Water Spinach flower. These instruments will enhance the precision in
observing the measurements of its input, processes, and output, hence, observation and tests will be used in
the experimental pilot trial. And the trials will be presented in a narrative manner therefore making it a mixed
method. A mixed method study includes both quantitative and qualitative instruments, the sole qualitative
instrument that will be used in this study is the 5-point Likert scale with an added criterion. This is to establish
the idea on how the product should be critiqued.
Data Processing
Performing the assessment on the extract on paper surface will be represented by a table of ink
qualities, that will also have a table and weights of 1-5 on a rating scale point with the modern ink as reference
set as the 5th rate standard. On avoiding bias, 5 valid professional science teachers regarding this topic will
participate, and act as a respondent to rate the product itself, shown in the tables and figure below:
