Research Instrument
The quantitative mediums in this study will be mortar and pestle, thermometer, containers, straining
tools, measuring, and weighting scale provided by the availability E.C Bernabe National Highschool has
located in Atilano L. Ricardo, Bagac, Bataan, Philippines. If eligible to be used for pressing and boiling, in
extracting the pigment of the Water Spinach flower. These instruments will enhance the precision in
observing the measurements of its input, processes, and output, hence, observation and tests will be used in
the experimental pilot trial. And the trials will be presented in a narrative manner therefore making it a mixed
method. A mixed method study includes both quantitative and qualitative instruments, the sole qualitative
instrument that will be used in this study is the 5-point Likert scale with an added criterion. This is to establish
the idea on how the product should be critiqued.
Data Processing
Performing the assessment on the extract on paper surface will be represented by a table of ink
qualities, that will also have a table and weights of 1-5 on a rating scale point with the modern ink as reference
set as the 5th rate standard. On avoiding bias, 5 valid professional science teachers regarding this topic will
participate, and act as a respondent to rate the product itself, shown in the tables and figure below:
