1.1.3.5.1 Inrush stabilization (harmonic restraint)
The fundamental wave I(fo) and second harmonic components I(2*fo) of the differential current
are determined. if the ratio I(2*fo)/I(fo) exceedss a specific adjustable value in at least one
measuring system, tripping is blocked optionally (Without/Phase Selective/Not Phase Selective).

The differential current is filtered and fundamental I(fo) and fifth harmonic components I(5*fo)
are determined. if the ratio I(5*fo)/I(fo) exceeds the set value over I(5fo)/I(fo) in at least one
measuring system, and if the restraining current is smaller than 4. Iref, then tripping is blocked

3.1.2.1 Circuit Breaker Failure
Operation Scheme
when a fault occurs, one or more protection devices will operate and issue a trip command to the
relevant circuit breakers. operation of the circuit breaker is essential to isolate the fault and
prevent, or at least limit, damage to the power system. If the fault current has not been interrupted
a set time delay from circuit breaker trip initiation, the CBF protection will operate, whreby the
upstream circuit breakers are back triped to ensure that the fault is isolated.

3.1.2.2 Short Zone Protection

Operation Scheme
SZP principle bay be extended by setting fast-acting overcurrent elements on the incoming
feeders to a substation, which are then arranged to be blocked by start contacts from the devices
protecting the putgoing feeders. This allowed to trip for a fault condition on the busbar, but is
stable for external faults due to the blocking signal.
