GEN-EWS (Economically Weaker Section) and OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants are required to
upload valid category certificate in prescribed formats of GoI issued after March 31, 2023, SC/ST/PwD
applicants are required to produce category/disability certificates in the prescribed format and valid as per rules.
OBC-NCL category to which the applicant belong must be available in the list of Other Backward Classes issued
by the Central Govt. of India in its latest notification failing which the admission of applicant will be cancelled.
Persons with Different Abilities (PD) candidates shall have to appear before a Medical Board duly constituted by
IIT Roorkee, if needed. Benefit shall be given to those who have at least 40% physical impairment. The PwD
(Persons with Disability) candidates must upload the Medical Deficiency Certificate, issued by the Government
Medical Board.
You must comply with the Eligibility Requirements (ERs) and Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) as
mentioned in the M.Sc. Biotechnology Information Brochure-2023. Failure to meet ER and MEQs will lead to suo
moto cancellation of admission.
