2. Answer ALL questions.

4. Student must run the originality test and must make sure that the originality test does not exceed
30% before submitting the answer.
5. Once the answer has been submitted, student is not allowed to resubmit again.

QUESTION 1

Briefly explain TWO (2) characteristics of Sociological school of thought.

PART B

QUESTION 1

Pee Sang is a 17-year-old university student who has recently been arrested and charged
under Section 2 of the Undergraduate Act 2020 (fictitious) for his involvement in the activities
of gambling and alcohol use. Pee Sang did not agree that gambling and alcohol use is illegal
and wrong because these acts do not harm another person and it is a voluntary act. The
university believe that such law is morally right in order to discipline the students. Pee Sang
is to be tried soon in the court, and if convicted, the penalty for the offence will be dismissal
from the university and a jail term or a fine.

From the perspective of morality, discuss whether Pee Sang can challenge the validity of
Section 2 of the Undergraduate Act 2020.
