IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or GROUP ACTIVITY, the class will have a group activity. This activity will help to
presenting the new lesson. know their prior knowledge and prepare them for the new lesson.
The class will be divided into five groups. For ease, they will be divided based
on their seating arrangement.
Each group will analyze the presented activity.
Each group will be given a piece of bond paper on which they will write their
answer.
From the title of the activity, each group has the freedom to work
collaboratively, the students can share their ideas and opinions to answer the
given activity.
This activity will last up to 10 minutes. (2 minutes for giving instruction and
disseminating materials and 5 minutes for constructing the Frequency
Distribution Table. 3 minutes for wrapping up the activity)
Each group will assign a representative. The representative will be the one who
will tell the answer to the teacher and get the corresponding picture for each
correct answer.
Each group will complete the table and the picture needed.
This activity will last up to 10 minutes. (2 minutes for the instruction. 5
minutes for the activity. 3 minutes for wrapping up)
Each group will have a flag. The flag was already given before the start of
Activity 1.
Each group will be given an item to evaluate. They need to answer this to
move to the next lesson.
B. Establishing a purpose for the The teacher will present essential questions to each group: (5 minutes)
lesson 1. How do you find the activity?
2. Will you be able to recall how to construct a frequency distribution table?
3. Will you be able to recall how you compute the mean?
4. Will you be able to solve the given combination easily?
5. What are the challenges you have encountered while doing the activity?
C. Presenting examples/ instances The teacher will present the contents and objectives of the lesson in class. (1 minute)
of the new lesson
The teacher will tell the students to listen carefully to prepare them for the activities to
be given as the lesson progresses.
E. Discussing new concepts and The teacher will present an example to students. The teacher will randomly ask students
practicing new skills #2 for their participation. (10 minutes)
DRILL, the teacher will have a drill about statistic and parameter. When the teacher
says population, the students must say parameter. When the teacher says sample, the
students need to say statistic. Vice versa. (10 minutes)
ACTIVITY, the students will be having their short activity regarding the lesson. The
students have 10 minutes to finish their activity.
F. Developing Mastery
(Leads to Formative Assessment 3)
G. Finding practical application of The students will understand the concept of the sampling distribution of the sample
concepts and skills in daily living mean and relate it to real-life problems.
H. Making generalizations and The teacher will present the summary of the lesson. (3 minutes)
abstractions about the lesson
I. Evaluating Learning The students will have their written test about the sampling distribution of the sample
mean. (2 minutes)
J. Additional activities for The students will be having remediation and additional activities if needed.
application or remediation
