PARENTS ORIENTATION ON CAREER

GUIDANCE & COUNSELING PROGRAM
The Parents Orientation on Career Guidance and Counseling
Program was held at Alangilan Elementary School. It started at
exactly 3:00 in the afternoon, with a prayer led by ma’am Perla L.
Tag-at, the Grade-II adviser. It was oriented by yours truly, as
the School Guidance and Counseling Program Designate. With God’s
guidance and with the help of my co-teachers, I was able to share
my knowledge & expertise on the importance of Career Guidance and
counseling program implementation.
In accordance to Education Act of 1982 “students and pupils
in all schools shall enjoy... the right to school guidance and
counseling services for decisions and selecting the alternatives in
fields of work suited to his potentialities”. Career guidance and
counseling program helps and guide every learners in choosing their
career paths that they want to pursue through informed career
choices towards becoming productive and contributing individuals.

The Pandemic has affected the teaching and learning process

usually happening in schools. Certainly, our learners cannot avoid its
impact in terms of their domains of development. That is why it is
very important for us teachers to know the prpoper implementation
of homeroom guidance in our shool ,organizing resources needed in
the program such as budget, manpower, facilities, learning materials,
and other logistical needs in order to help the in the development and
learning of our pupils/ students because we teachers believes that
every learner is unique and has the ability to develop him/herself
using his or her own learning experiences from family, community,
school and society. This shall be realized through the collaborative
efforts of family, school, community, government and other
institutions.
