Why are you applying for Financial Aid?

I am an Indian student studying at S.I.E.S College of commerce and economics ,

Mumbai. I am applying for financial assistance for my course because I'm unable to
afford the cost of the course. Currently, I'm an unemployed college graduate. I am
living with my parents and my sister. My father earns sum money which goes into
the maintenance of our household and school education for my sister. I am taking on
occasional part-time tutoring jobs to help students learn Accounting and
Mathematics. Unfortunately, the income that comes out of this is too small for me to
afford the fees for online courses.
An acceptance of my application for financial aid would help me gain employment in
the area of advertising jobs. I hope to use the certification provided by Coursera to
propel me towards and Internship in the field of advertising. Overall, this would aid in
my pursuit of becoming a successful advertising agent someday.

How will taking this course help you achieve your career goals?
This course picks up from the history of advertising in the society. It would provide
me with a good foundation on building my skills and working towards a profession in
advertising and promotion. I aim to incorporate the skills gained in this course with
my other pursuits in learning to help me become an advertising specialist someday .
I believe that this course provides me with the knowledge of concepts like visual
communication, various advertising strategies and techniques. As this is widely used
in businesses and corporate jobs around the world, it can help me gain a commonly
required skill while setting up the foundation required for more advanced techniques
in the world of advertising.
In addition to aiding me in my desired area of prospective employment, this course
can also provide me with a valid set of independent skills that can be transferred to
any promotion and marketing driven business.
Overall, I believe that taking this course can propel me towards an internship while
providing me with a set of valuable life skills applicable in a large number of subject
areas.
