KSU Campus Awareness, Resource & Empowerment

(CARE) Services Fact Sheet

Our History
KSU’s Counseling & Psychological Services (CPS) established CARE services in May 2013. The
combination of Feed the Future, a campus pantry, and Homeless Awareness Week, nationally and locally
recognized initiative program, under the department of CARE Services helped CARE become a single
point of access to services and resources both on & off campus.

 Spring 2016: CARE has expanded to the Marietta Campus of KSU with a pantry. Three years
later it became a walk-in pantry in April 2019.

 August 2018: The Kennesaw Campus pantry was expanded to offer a walk-in, self-serve access,
shopping pantry. Stocked entirely by community contributions from Kroger & Publix Food.
