Our Mission
Provide access to food, temporary housing, and other services to duster students, to make health and
stability accessible, dignified academic and professional life and a professional Excellence &
Effectiveness Model.
Our Programs
Campus Awareness, Resource & Empowerment (CARE) Services serve the Kennesaw State University
students and community with four resource programs. These programs include:
KSU CARES
o provides food for ANY KSU student experiencing food insecurity. All supplies are based upon
donations and are available to students.
GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs)
Georgia Grant Priority Model
o Aims to serve 1,000 high school youth who have experienced homelessness or the foster care
system (Priority Students). Priority Students in grades 10 through 12 are identified and recruited
across Bibb, Clayton, Cobb, Floyd, Fulton, and Polk counties.
KSU AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) Network
o This program allows the expansion of opportunities & resources available to low-income students
& local nonprofits. Reduces resource barriers which decreases individuals experiencing poverty
due to inability to access support.
Emergency Assistance Program
o provides emergency financial assistance to all degree seeking KSU Students to help overcome
unforeseen hardships that may hinder their successful academic progress.
