We have recently seen that the float sometimes touches the side wall of the fuel tank
causing the fuel sender to get stuck at full or near to the bottom of the tank.
Below instruction will prevent the arm or float from touching the side wall or piping.

1. Remove the cap screws and take out the fuel sender.
2. Check if the angle of the sensor support is 90 degrees.
3. Use vise to clamp the arm and use pliers to rotate the float 90 degrees
until the float points upwards. See photo 2.
4. Re-install fuel sender and check if problem is resolved.
