Safety Specialist Lead

Roles and Responsibilities


 Implements, manage, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures that
meet OSHA and other applicable requirements.
 Evaluate the organization's procedures, facilities, and equipment by conducting
inspections to identify unsafe conditions and implement safeguards and solutions.
 Ensures the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all
employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety
procedures.
 Collects data and reports on the safety and accident events.
 Takes part in accident / incident investigation.
 Carries out analysis of accident/incident statistics, identifying trends, and suggesting
improvement plans.
 Provides technical support to Management on any safety-related subjects.
 Carries out any in-house safety training.
 Performs Risk Assessments and facilitates the development of departmental AHAs.
 Provides support to the HSE training department by identifying any additional
departmental specific and specialized training that may be required, conduct training
sessions, and ensure all comply with project specific and regulatory requirements.
 Assist the Environmental Department on a as needed bases with environmental clean
ups.
 Provides leadership support when Safety Supervisor is not onsite or day off.
 Assist with or conducts AAR meetings.
 Assist HSE management in developing and reviewing SOP(s) for the Department
 Participates to HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
 Assist in any other assigned duties as HSE determines.
