MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS

Course Description

Managerial economics is the application of economic theory to managerial


issues. Practitioners – Nestle executives, McKinsey consultants, Credit
Suisse First Boston investment bankers - often rely on economic analysis
when they tackle business issues or make important strategic decisions.
Elements of managerial economics can be found in all aspects of business
activity, such as production, pricing, financing, management, and strategy.

Learning Objectives

Economics by nature is a very broad and comprehensive topic. This course


is condensed and focused in alignment to the MBA concept of providing a
generalistic overview of the latest concepts and applications. This course will
provide an introduction to economic theory sufficiently rich that you may
proceed to courses in finance, marketing, and strategic thinking with the
groundwork firmly laid for success.
