Ismaili District Boy Scout Association, Karachi (Southern Region) & AKYSBP Guides,

Southern Region under Ismaili Civic is organizing Plastic Bottles Recycling Competition “Trash
into Treasure” on the 9th, 10th, and 11th September 2022 on occasion to celebrate Prince Amyn
Mohammad’s Birthday.
Nature of the Competition:
Scouts Group and Girls Guide Company will prepare the Chair, Dustbin, and Plants Shade by
using plastic bottles and other plastic products only.
To complete the project, Scouts Group and Girls Guide Company can organize a garbage
collection, in which they only collect plastic bottles to carry out the three projects.
Project preparation will take place at Scouts Group and Girls Guide Company only.
Upon completion of the project, it will be exhibited in their own Jamat Khan.
Regional team IDBSA, Karachi and AKYSBP Guides, Southern Region team will tour the
region to review the project.
GSL and GGL will lead the project and ensure it is completed within the required timeframe.
Who will be the participants?
Members of Scouts Group (all three sections) and all three units of girl guides
Project Lead by GSL and GGL along with their first ranking officers.
GSL and GGL will decide with the first ranking officers about the number of participants they
need to accomplish the projects.
Marking Criteria of the Projects:
IDBSA, Karachi and AKYSBP Guides, Southern Region will assign jury to examine the
projects.
Projects will be examined on the bases of creativity, innovation, teamwork and sustainability of
the projects.
Awards & Certificates:
The jury will announce the position on the individual projects and overall of the position of the
Southern Region.
Long-term Sustainability of the project:
GSL and GGL will make sure the project will be used for a year
Evaluation will be set after 3 months and it will be track for the year.
End of the year IDBSA, Karachi and AKYSBP Guides, Southern Region will announce the
winner for each project.
