General Drawing Notes For Scaffolding.

it is to be returned upon request. This drawing is issued subject to, and should be read in conjunction with "Scaffold

To Steel 2. Basis of Design


This drawing has been prepared from information to "Scaffold Logistics" by, or on behalf of the Customer. The
Tube customer should check that Scaffold Logistics have correctly interpreted the requirements and that all loadings,
dimensions, details, erection are as required and practicable.
Unless otherwise noted on drawing :
� The distance between face bracing panels is not to exceed three bays
� All returns or breaks in scaffold are to be tube tied, complete with planking and guardrails
� Scaffold to be maximum of 225mm from working face unless directed otherwise by local authorities
� Platform brackets (*hop-ups) are not to be loaded with materials. They are to be used for access by
personnel only.
Unless noted otherwise Scaffold design complies with AS/NZS 4576 Guidelines for Scaffolding. For site specific
information please contact our design office.
Scaffold Logistics Modular Scaffolding Systems are rated Heavy Duty with a maximum allowable distributed live load of
Swivel Base Jack To 675 kgs per bay (Unless noted offerwise). Refer to AS/NZS 1576.1 for duty specifications.

Steel Tube Via Couplers 3. Foundations/ Support


Unless otherwise noted, timber soleplates of dimension 300 x 225 x 39mm will be supplied by Scaffold Logistics.
Where Scaffold Logistics equipment is supported, suspended, anchored or tied to an existing structure or the ground,
the Customer must ensure that the structure or ground is adequate to safely support the additional imposed loads. If
necessary the Customer will supply additional members to ensure that the imposed loads are adequately distributed
onto the supporting surface or structure.

4. Modification
This drawing has been prepared using the Safe Working Loads of the Scaffold Logistics components specified. No
alteration to components, assembly, loading or any other aspect must be made without the expressed written authority

from Scaffold Logistics.

5. Tying and Bracing


The Customer is responsible for ensuring all structures remain adequately tied and/or braced to carry the load and
ensure stability. No ties or braces are to be removed or altered in any way without the expressed written authority from
Scaffold Logistics. Where Scaffold Logistics is supplying equipment only, the supply and fixing of all necessary ties to
AS/NZS 1576.1 and AS/NZS 4576 IS the responsibility of the Customer.

6. Warnings
Erection, modifications, and dismantle of scaffolding involve associated risks. All work performed on site must be in
accordance with "Scaffold Logistics" Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) for general construction of scaffolding and
follow "Scaffold Logistics" Safe Management Systems.
Scaffolding must comply with the following Scaffolding Standards :
AS/NZS 1576.1 - 2019 Scaffolding - General Requirements
AS/NZS 1576.2 - 2016 Scaffolding - Couplers and Accessories
AS/NZS 1576.3 - 2015 Scaffolding - Prefabrication and tube and coupler scaffolding
AS/NZS 1576.4 - 2013 Scaffolding - Suspended scaffolding
AS/NZS 1576.5 - 1995 Scaffolding - Prefabricated splitheads and trestles
AS/NZS 1576.6 - 2020 Scaffolding - Metal tube and coupler scaffolding
AS/NZS 4576 - 2020 Guidelines for Scaffolding

7. Temporary Platforms
Unless specifically stated otherwise, temporary platforms (for erection or dismantling purposed only), are not to be
loaded and or used as working platforms or for any other purposes.

It is the Customers responsibility to ensure that persons who erect or dismantle scaffolding components comply with
their local statutory authorities codes and scaffolding requirements and be properly trained and supervised.

The elimination of general risk in the use of temporary works is by use of good practice. Guidance can be found within
relevant Codes, HSE publications and guides. Wherever possible, risk is designed-out of this proposal during the

This document has been prepared as a result of the information provided by the Customer. It is essential that the
Customer checks the information here-in and is satisfied that all the details and dimensions are correct.

Scaffold Logistics makes every effort to ensure that the information here-in is correct, it is the customers responsibility

to satisfy themselves regarding the following matters :
the building or structure details are correct
� the layout of the equipment involved is as proposed
� proper erection and dismantling procedures are in place
� the proposal is practicable
� the requirements for safety have been satisfied

Irrespective of any recommendations shown on the drawings, the user is responsible for the structural adequacy of
material of his own supply and for ensuring that the approved working load limits of "Scaffold Logistics" scaffolding
equipment are not exceeded.

1088 Our team of Scaffolding Specialists are ready and available to assist either on site, or by telephone, should any matters
of concern arise regarding the use, erection or dismantling of the Scaffold described within this document.

9. IMPACT LOADS
It shall remain the client's responsibility to ensure that all reasonable precautions are taken to avoid impact loads on the
scaffold during use, cranage and vehicular operations.
