A. INTRODUCTION
As the use of technology in daily life increases and more interactions take place virtually,
learning how to communicate effectively via the online platforms has never been more
important. Remember that when we communicate virtually, we have far fewer communication
resources at our disposal than when we are communicating face- to- face. For instance, our
communication over an email or over an instant messaging has eliminated so many powerful
communication tools like body language, hand gestures, eye contact, posture and lively
expressions. Hence, it is important that we convey our messages clearly and effectively.

II. Ink Blot

Between email and instant messaging, which do you prefer in sending a message to your teacher? Why?

For me, It is more formal to message our teacher through email with formality, introducing
yourself before stating your clarifications, and queries and then end with a respectful and polite
ending. Because It is not formal to instantly message your teachers unless it’s an emergency.
And to show respect to their privacy and personal life it is best to contact them first at email
but if they wish to proceed your communication through instant messaging VIA messenger
then thats okay if permitted by the teacher.
III. One-sentence Reply
