NOTICE S-16/2023

Date for Physical Reporting for UG Admissions: August 16-19, 2023

Candidates who have been allotted the admission at NIT Jamshedpur through
JoSAA/CSAB-2023 are required to report physically at NIT Jamshedpur as per the
following schedule.

 Provisional Hostel Allotment will be available on the day of physical reporting in

Hostel-I (for Boys students) and Hostel-A (for Girls students). The students may
directly report in Hostels with bag and baggage for accommodation.
 The detailed procedure and links for filling the admission form, Institute fee payment
including Hostel Fee, Mess Fee shall be notified soon on the Institute website. The
students are advised to visit the Institute website regularly for updates.
 Commencement of Classwork for 1st year UG students will be from 21st August 2023
(Monday).

i. Copy of Filled Online Affidavit by the student regarding anti-ragging

iii. Medical Fitness Certificate should be issued from the registered Medical Practitioners/

iv. 02 copies of passport size photograph.
v. Original Transfer Certificate from the School/college/institute last Attended.
vi. Original Migration certificate issued from the board.
vii. Admit card of JEE (Main) & JEE (Main) score card 2023.
viii. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter /Provisional Admission Letter generated from
JoSAA/CSAB 2023 portal.
ix. Proof of seat acceptance fee paid/partial Admission fee paid
x. Date of birth proof (Class X Mark Sheet/ Date of Birth Certificate).
xi. Photo identity proof (issued by Govt. agency/Aadhaar/Passport).
xii. Class XII (or equivalent) board mark sheet and Pass certificate.
xiii. Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable, as per Government
of India format, available on the JoSAA-2023 website, issued by the competent authority.
In case of OBC- NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after
April 01, 2023.
xiv. Income Certificate, for economically backward class students to get remission in the
Tuition fee. It should be issued by Revenue officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
xv. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable, issued by the competent
authority. Refer JoSAA-2023 website for format. The certificate will be rejected if the
disability is less than 40%. (For PwD only).
Note: If the original certificates are not in English/Hindi, English/Hindi version/translation of
such certificates, duly certified by the Principal/Director or other competent authority of the
graduating Institute, will be required during the verification of documents.

Fee Remission: As per MHRD order F.No.33-4/2014 TS.III dated 02.07.2016, the fee
remission shall be considered only after reporting at the institute and after verification of the
income certificate from the issuing authority. All eligible students for fees remission shall be
refunded only after the approval of the competent authority.
