The teacher will conduct a recitation that serves as a student’s review.
What is direct speech?
What is indirect speech?
Give at least one rule for transforming direct speech and indirect speech.
IV. Activity
Directions: Change direct speech into indirect speech.
1. “I play cricket.” Jacob said.
2. “We are good friends.” Sarah said to Regine
3. My teacher said, “The earth revolves around the sun.”
4. Khiro says, “I taught my dog some tricks.”
5. Jericho replied, “I played basketball last week.”
6. “Do you like English or not?” He asked me
7. “I had done the household chores,” Andy said.
8. Alvior said, “I bought a new pen.”
9. “What is your favorite subject?” the teachers asked him.
10. “I have seen the Taj Mahal,” Jerome said.
11. “Shall I go and buy some cake and crackers?” Mackie asked Roy.
12. “He gives me some advice.” John replies.
13. “Our bodies are mostly water.” Rica said to me.
14. He said to me, “Your friends have gone home.”
15. “I ate a slice of pizza.” He said.

Get 10 quotations on the internet or in books then change them into reported or indirect speech.
