(a) Select the "FMS1 ACT" submenu and then select the "INIT" submenu:

green on the title line (on the right side of the "INIT").

NOTE: The GPS initialization can last up to 10 minutes in case of first

GPS installation and initialization.

(b) Select the "FMS2 ACT" submenu and then select the "INIT" submenu:
1 Make sure that the "(GPS) UTC" is written on the label line.
2 After the GPS initialization, make sure that the "GPS" is written in cyan or
green on the title line (on the right side of the "INIT").

B. Operational Test of the GPS-SBAS 1

NOTE: This test can be performed on MCDU1 or MCDU2.

(1) On the MCDU, do a check of the GPS function:

(a) Select the "FMS1 ACT" submenu and then select the "INIT" submenu:

(2) On the MCDU, do a check of the SBAS GPS function:

(a) Go back to the menu, select the "FMS1 ACT" submenu:
1 Go to the "PROG 3/3" page, then select GPS:
- When the SBAS signal is not available (aircraft out of the SBAS
coverage or the signal in acquisition), do a check of the displays
that follow:
- SRCE: GPS1
- MODE: NAV.
- When the SBAS signal is available, do a check of the displays that
follow:
- SRCE: GPS1
- MODE: NAV
- S/MOD: SBAS (until 12 minutes after system power supply).

(b) Go back to the menu, select the "FMS2 ACT" submenu:

1 Go to the "PROG 3/3" page, then select GPS:
- When the SBAS signal is not available (aircraft out of the SBAS
coverage or the signal in acquisitionl), do a check of the displays
that follow:

- MODE: NAV.
