EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Symphony Plus Product Management team is very pleased to announce the release for imme-
diate sale of HR Series Modular Power System IV’s (MPS IV) SPS04 power supply module and
its BP04 base. The SPS04 power supply module is an integrated part of the MPS IV power
system and provides 125VDC output typically for digital I/O power for Symphony Plus HR Se-
ries systems, as well as previously installed Harmony and INFI 90 control systems.

PRODUCT DETAILS
The existing Modular Power System IV offering provides 5 VDC, 15 VDC, –15 VDC, 24 VDC, and
48 VDC operating voltages to controller, I/O and communications modules as well as power
to operate field devices. The SPS04 power supply module with BP04 base will work as an in-
tegrated part of Modular Power System IV to provide 125 VDC output typically for digital I/O
power.

SPS04 is designed to operate with 2N power redundancy with bumpless switch over. It di-
rectly accepts 110/240 VAC or 110/220 VDC inputs power with no switches or jumpers to set.
One BP04 base can hold a redundant pair of SPS04 modules and can be installed on drilled
metal panel, or two horizontal DIN rails installed in cabinet, in the similar form of existing
BP01 bases.

SYSTEM/APPLICATION COMPATIBILITY
The Modular Power System IV is fully compatible with Symphony Plus HR Series, Harmony,
INFI 90 control systems. It in general has a smaller footprint than previous generations of
Modular Power System I, II, or III, so it will fit well as an evolution solution.

HR Series hardware products can be ordered via either Business On-Line (BOL), if activated
for your selling unit, or by submitting the EDI/ purchase order to the OrderBox as referenced
in the footer of the respective price lists.

SUPPORT
PCP Market Segments Support

Market Segments is the Process Control Platform (PCP) interface to the Business Lines’
Global Products Groups and their Segments. In this role, PCP Market Segments supports
Business Lines in their key strategic sales opportunities and customer activities. Specifically,
the PCP Market Segments team can provide support for those products or features that are
released following the Introduction Phase Approval process (IPA). The team is aligned by in-
dustry segment and for main markets by country. For further details, please refer to the PCP

PCP Global Product Sales Support

The Global Product Sales Support Team supports the Hub Business Lines (HBL) and Local
Business Line (LBL) L2 Sales, Sales and Service Sales on sales related topics with any PCP
products included. In this role, the PCP Global Product Sales Support team provides HBL &
LBL Sales with technical product sales support, demo support, sales training support, pre-
bid technical sales and demo support and interface between HBL / LBL Sales and the PCP
Product Line Management, Product Management and R&D organizations.

Symphony Plus after sales technical product support is provided by the PCP Technical Sup-
port Level 3 (L3) organization. In close collaboration with the Business Lines (L2) and
R&D/Product Management, the global network of product experts serves to solve prod-
uct/system issues, provide know-how and guidance on the entire PCP product portfolio and
technology. Symphony Plus product cases should be entered to the respective regional center
where the project or service activities are taking place.
