WRITING

Dear Daisy,
It was great to hear from you again. I am doing fine here. How are you? How's your
family? I hope you are well. I am sorry I have not been in touch with you for a long
time because I was so busy with my project.
You know, An is one of my best friends so I know a lot about her. She is a teacher.
She teaches English at Sai Gon university. She likes listening to music. Her
favourite kind of music is pop music. She is a kind person. She always helps other
people when they need. I think An could stay with your family when she comes to
London.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
Best wishes,
Nam

Ho Chi Minh City is the biggest and busiest city of our country, therefore, traffic is
always a big problem for everyone. In the following writing, I will state some
difficulties caused by heavy traffic of Ho Chi Minh City to local people as well as
to tourists. I also suggest some solutions to deal with those problems.
First of all, the heavy traffic can lead to traffic accidents. The traffic disorder will
make people stressful and they may easily cause traffic accidents. Secondly, traffic
in Ho Chi Minh City causes a lot of air and noise pollution. The great number of
vehicles travelling at the same time during rush hours exhausts a huge amount of
smoke and dust resulting in the damage to the air of the city. Next, it takes city-
dwellers a long time to travel from home to work or school and vice versa. For
instance, it usually takes me about 20 minutes to go from home to work but during
rush hours it takes me up to 45 minutes. It is a great waste of time for city locals
and tourist alike.
I think we should have some instant measures to solve the above problems caused
by traffic. Firstly, we should limit the use of private vehicles and encourage city
locals to use public transportation. Secondly, the authorities should invest more
money on improve and upgrade transport infrastructures such as roads, bridges....
As stated above, traffic in Ho Chi Minh City is a big problem leading to serious
consequences to authorities and local residents. Therefore, the city government
needs urgent solutions now to make the city a perfect place for their people.
