Your team are teachers planning to use the listening text below with a group of
elementary learners. Discuss what the learners will need to think about and know
before they listen to it. Decide..
o how you will introduce the topic
o how you will activate schemata
o whether they need to be taught anything about the topic before listening
o on 3 items of vocabulary you feel might need pre-teaching and prepare to
do so
N.B. You do not need to hand in a lesson plan for this, but you must hand in a
clearly written procedure (including exactly what you would say to the learners at
different points) and any materials you would require (visuals, worksheets,
anything you would project, etc.).
