THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS (2006)

The Pursuit of Happyness is based on a true story that is an emotional tale of poverty and
persistence from a father who does anything for his son. This family movie will take you on a
rollercoaster of emotions with the hard work and failures that Chris faces. In this 2006 film
starring Will Smith’s acting along with his son Jaden Smith, the chemistry of these father and
son is beyond from ordinary and it makes the movie great. The movie is set in San Francisco in
1981. It was released in 2006 by Columbia Pictures and cost round 55 million dollars.

Following Chris Gardner’s life, he is a salesman who has undeniably dream to become
financially free and happy with his family one day. Chris sells bone density scanner, a medical
instrument to make a living but it does not sell easily. He also plans on joining an internship
program that could be able to help his family. He is portrait as a hard working and optimism
despite the challenges and failures that he faces. From slowly becoming financially free and
suddenly it vanishes in no time. Everything he had from the start had lost but still he did not give
up yet put efforts into his internship and it all paid off. Persistence has become a key element of
people battling in this world of chaos. Even if one fails for the first time, don’t just give up and
try again till one is successful.

To become a dreamer, one should have clear thoughts and motivation in achieving goals
in life as saying goes “there is always hard work and sweat in every success”. The only way for
us to achieve anything in today’s world is by working hard, never give up and try till it will paid
off.
