Instrument Qualification

Parts Inspection:

• Confirm that all parts were received, as listed on packing slip ______
• Inspect all parts to ensure no damage during shipping ______

System Installation:

• Adapt gas source to 3/16” O.D. tubing ______

• Connect vacuum source (with trap) to water recovery assembly ______
• Connect solvent waste container to vacuum setup ______
• Install all system components (see manuals) ______
• Fill solvent bottles with proper solvents to run desired application ______

System Check-out:

• Turn on vacuum source and confirm proper vacuum to system ______

• Turn on gas source and check regulators (50 main, 15 rinse) ______
• Turn on controller (go to A2D screen and check thermistor operation) ______

Operational Qualification

System Check-out:

• Create a test sample method 10

• Prepare extractor for sample operation
• Run a liter of water with sample method and confirm proper operation

Extractor warranty begins on the date of installation at the facility specified above. Horizon
Technology Extractor Systems come with a one-year parts and labor warranty. Horizon Technology
supports Pacific TM, 3M ®, JT Baker ®, CPI ®, and Whatman ® SPE disks. The use of SPE disks
from any non-supported disk manufacturer voids the warranty and/or service agreement.
