Criminology Days Triumphs as Unforgettable Success

2023.
On February 16,
2023, Dr. Veronica V.
Calang, the Assistant Dean,
spearheaded the event
Annual Criminology days celebration brings
with a theme “Intelligence,
together students and teachers
Discipline, and Teamwork”
which started with an
opening remark from CI Col
Christian R. Latayada.
The first day of the
celebration involved several
activities, featured a
thanksgiving mass presided
over by Rev Fr. Mike Fortich,
obstacle rush, traditional
boodle fight, and a
Criminology Quizbee
Competition. Winners of the
Quiz bee Competition were
announced, with Group 2 FI
Major as the Quiz bee
Champion, Group 2 LD Major
as the 2nd Placer, and Group
2 QD Major as the 3rd Placer.
The day ended with a search
for Mr. and Ms. Macho Part
2023.

The PSA sent three staffs
in selected school and
luckily PAP was the chosen
one. It has been being
school to school set-up to
target students, school
staffs, and teachers no left
behind.

On December 17, 2022, the Professional Academy of the Philippines Criminology Department held
a thesis defense on the use of polygraph technology in criminal investigations.

The thesis, written by the fourth-year students, explores the effectiveness of polygraphs in
detecting deception and its impact on the criminal justice system.

The defense panel, comprised of experts in the field, evaluated the thesis and provided insights on
the potential application of polygraph.

The process lasted for several hours and includes a formal presentation, a question-and-answer
session, and a review of the written work.

and preparations made to make their hard work successful. "Aside from being part of the curriculum as a
CHED requirement, its main purpose is to assess the 4th year criminology students' knowledge throughout
the semester as they apply it in the moot court. The essential elements of a successful polygraph thesis
defense include the basic and complex knowledge regarding the subject matter and the cooperation and
participation among the groupmates in conducting the polygraph examination" Latayada said.

Empowering minds, Building Futures: Celebrating Education Days

The College of Teacher Education conducted the Education Days

2022 at Professional Academy of the Philippines with the theme
“Living, Loving, and Learning Amidst Uncertainties last March 24-25,
2022.
The OIC of the Department, Mrs. Estrella B. Llanes led the event
with the assistance of the SBO officers and the fourth-year students.
On the first day, the morning activities were poster making, slogan,
scrabble, and spelling bee. Each level had their participants for each
category. The afternoon activities were impromptu speech,
extemporaneous speech, and declamation speech.
The highlight and most awaited part of the which was the Mr. and
Ms. Education 2022 happened on the second day. The awarding as well.
There are six (6) pairs of dazzling and handsome candidates who
represented for each year level from first year to third year from the
Education Department who competed for the title and crown. They will
serve as the role models of the Department to abide the rules and be
mindful of actions and words.
Mr. Niño Mesa from BSED 2 and Maryden Canceran from BSED
1, were able to bring the crown for Mr. & Ms. Education 2022.
 Indeed, the event did not just reveal the keen of intellect of the
contestants but the value of cooperation, sportsmanship and teamwork
were also served. Perfectly, contestants had really done great on their
parts.

The celebration of beauty and wit was a success with so much

glamour and elegance.
