ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

Name of Activity: WEEK OF WELCOME (WOW): The Art of Saying Sino Kaga!
Theme of the Activity: “Creating Memories for a New Beginning”
Rationale of the Activity:
Pandemic has drastically altered the educational landscape, instigating a
sudden shift to remote learning. As we gradually transition back to physical
classrooms, it is essential to consider the challenges and opportunities that lie
ahead. The pandemic has left an indelible mark on students’ emotional and
psychological well-being. Isolation and lack of peer interaction have led to increased
levels of stress and anxiety. As students return to school, Sta. Maria Integrated
High School prioritize mental health support. Developing self-awareness and
camaraderie among colleagues as they transition into a new chapter of their lives.

The Grade 7 advisers and Senior High School Grade 11 teachers since its
establishment, have always had spared a time to meet and know their learners.
This meet and greet event have been anticipated by many. This activity serves as
an opportunity for students to develop social ties and interpersonal skills with their
schoolmates and teachers. Over the years, it has evolved – from simple meet and
greet event, to entertainment and games...it sure has grown part of the tradition.

WEEK OF WELCOME (WOW): The Art of Saying Sino Kaga! is a long hour’s
acquaintance party that emphasizes building of connections and simply getting to
know each other as a whole.
