Summary

During my immersion in the municipality, Your personal and professional

development has probably benefited from the knowledge and experiences you have
acquired. Reflecting on what you have learnt might help you grasp it better and
provide you ideas for future. Being completely immersed in a municipality would
have given you intimate knowledge of how local government operates. You may
have studied about the many departments, their responsibilities, and the methods
used for making decisions. As I move forward, I will carry these lessons with me,
using them as a compass in my future endeavors. Whether it is in the realm of
municipal administration, community development, or any related field, I will
strive to empower communities, amplify their voices, and foster collaboration to
create positive change.

To sum it all, Im grateful to have Sir Angelito by my side, he always make sure
that I will understand what he teach me to encoding and fixing some papers. What
started as a nerve-wracking travel bloomed into a captivating experience of self-
discovery. Through the challenges guided by Sir I learned a lot of this immersion
and I will make sure that it will be the most memorable experience ever and I take
them in the future. I’m sincerely thankful.
History

The name of Malolos was presumably derived from the Tagalog word
“Paluslos”, meaning ” downwards”. The name resulted from a
misunderstanding among the first Spanish missionaries who reached the
place. Searching for inhabited places along the Calumpit River, these
priests came upon some natives of a riverside barrio (now Kanalate).
They asked for the name of the place. The natives, not knowing the
Spanish tongue, answered that the flow of the river in that part was
downstream -“paluslos”-, which the Spaniards pronounced “Malolos”.
Corruption of the word through the years led to present “Malolos”.

The town originated from a small settlement started by the Spanish

missionaries. Later, after clearing forests and virgin lands, the settlement
grew, and the population increased. After the construction of a big
church, the place was made into a town. From the very beginning,
Tagalog made up the majority of the Malolos populace. They were led
by prominent families, among them the Gatsalians (Gatchalian), and the
Manahans.
