Vehicles
2. SCOPE
2.1 This Procedure is applicable for plant transfer, equipment, and light vehicles in PT Darma
Henwa Tbk
3. REFERENCES

4. PROPOSE TRANSFER
Proposed transfers within a Business Unit must be channelled through the Business Unit Manager
and the Plant department requested to take action as necessary. All requests for additional Plant,
Equipment and Light Vehicles must first be channelled through the appropriate Functional and
Business Unit Manager, and the Plant department requested to take action as necessary.
It is important that the Plant department be advised before any transfers take place as this will help
ensure that machines are mechanically suitable and that all attachments etc. are forwarded with the
machine. It is the responsibility of the Plant department to ensure that log books, parts/service
manuals, spare parts and tyres etc. are forwarded to the receiving Location.
Proposed transfers outside of a Business Unit must be channelled through the Business Unit and
General Manager in consultation with the Plant Manager.
Plant and Equipment being transferred must be in a reasonable mechanical condition to an Industry
and Company Standard. Any Project type costs, e.g. freight on spare parts/service exchange
components, ownership charges, etc. levied at this point in time, (while putting plant items in
reasonable mechanical condition) will be a charge to the transferring Project. This includes Plant
and Equipment being transferred into "Idle" or "Disposal" Locations.
6. COST OF TRANSFER
Freight/Transport costs on Plant and Equipment items transferred from one location to another will
be charged to the receiving project. Where Plant and Equipment on transfer, travels via a base or
Area workshop for the purpose of having repairs carried out, the receiving Project will be charged
only that cost applicable had the plant item been transferred direct. Any difference in
freight/transport cost will be taken up as part of the repair cost to the plant item.
The costs incurred in dismantling and loading Plant and Equipment being transferred is a charge to
the transferring or demobilising Project. i.e. the transferring Project is responsible for loading Plant
and Equipment onto a truck or barge, and securing/lashing down of same.
Freight/Transport costs incurred when Plant and Equipment is transferred to a base or area
workshop to undergo Major Repairs will be taken up by the Plant department provided the repairs
are not due to accident damage, and provided the plant item is to be returned to the same Project.
For Disposal purposes, should the Plant department elect to transfer an item awaiting disposal, from
one location to another, then such freight/transport will be taken up by the Plant department and
offset against sale proceeds.
Where an item of Plant and Equipment cannot be placed on a Project it is to be transferred to a
secure compound for storage and the transferring Project will take up freight/transport costs as part
of their demobilisation responsibility.
Should an item of Plant and Equipment be surplus to the Company's requirements, freight/transport
will be paid by the Project to the nearest suitable secure compound.
Where the Plant department elect to carry out repairs off-site then freight/transport should be
charged to Plant Operating, unless agreed otherwise.
