All operators must be licensed and certified for the type of

crane being used.
• Cranes must be inspected by an operator before each shift.
• Lifts must not be performed in wind speeds exceeding 32 km/h
(20 mph), unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
• Crane lift areas must always be barricaded and secured.
Warning signs must be placed at barricaded perimeters to
keep unnecessary personnel out of the lift area and warn site
personnel of the hazards associated with overhead activities.
• All cranes must have a valid crane inspection sticker issued by
Saudi Aramco, or by an approved third-party inspection agency.
• Crane cabs must provide maximum visibility and must be kept
clean and clear of clutter. Windows must be kept clean and
replaced if the glass becomes pitted, cracked, or broken.
• Personnel with approved crane operator and rigger
certification are not allowed to act in both capacities for the
same lift (e.g., a single person cannot supervise, rig a lift, and

operate a crane).
• Operators make final decisions on crane lifts.
• Personnel are empowered to use their Stop Work Authority if
there are any safety concerns.

Cranes are designed to lift large and heavy loads, and are an

‫ •يجب أن توفر قمرة القيادة في الرافعة أقصى درجات الرؤية الواضحة وأن تبقى نظيفة‬
‫وخالية من المخلفات‪ .‬ويجب المحافظة على نظافة نوافذ القمرة‪ ،‬واستبدالها إذا تعرض‬
‫الزجاج للتصدع أو الكسر‪.‬‬
‫ •ال يسمح للموظفين المعتمدين كمشغلي رافعة ومثبتي أحمال بالعمل بكلتا الصفتين في‬
‫نفس عملية الرفع (بمعنى أنه ال يجوز لشخص واحد اإلشراف وتثبيت األحمال وتشغيل‬
