The list of identified contaminated sites based on preliminary/ detailed investigation studies carried out by
CPCB/ SPCBs is attached herewith for information and for uploading on common portal in compliance to
Hon’ble NGT order dated 1/2/2021 in OA No 384/2019.

7. Dabli, Mangliya, Indore, MP CPCB vide letter dated 10.01.2020 issued directions u/s 18(1)
of Water Act, 1974 to MPPCB regarding oil contamination
due to leaking of underlines pipe lines. As oil & Grease conc.
in GW sample was reported as 1 mg/L (BIS limit for Mineral
oil in Drinking Water is 0.5 mg/L).

Analysis result of GW samples reveals that odor of Mild


Petroleum products along with TDS.
8. M/s Godavari Bio-Refineries, The identified area was contaminated with spent wash of
Ahmed Nagar District, distillery unit and color, So4, Chlorides and volatile fatty acids
Maharashtra are reported in GW.

Contaminated groundwater is being remediated by applying


Biomediation technique since September, 2017 and the
same is underway.

Communicated final DPR along templates of tender
document to State of UP and UPPCB for execution of
Remediation work.
It was submitted by UPPCB that Tendering process is under
progress for execution of remediation works by UPSIDA and
UPPCB.
17. Juhi Baburaiya (Rakhi Mandi), Hexavalent Chromium was reported in Gw.
Kanpur
18. Industrial Area Meerut Road, Contamination of groundwater by hexavalent Chromium is
Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh significant environmental problem for Lohia Nagar,
Ghaziabad.

Remediation work is uder taken by M/s SPRL (Responsible


Party).
