1. Explain the difference between Application Software and System Software. Give two (2)
examples of application software and one (1) example of system software.

Application software are the program that helps user solve particular computing problems while
system software coordinates the activities and functions of hardware and programs.

Two examples of application software are web browsers like google chrome and Microsoft
office.

One example of system software are macOS.

2. What are the most common Operating Systems (OS) for personal computers?
The most common Operating Systems (OS) for personal computers is Microsoft Windows.

3. What do you understand about the Application Software, Utility Software, and Operating
Systems?
Application software can apply the power of computer to give individuals,workgroups,and
the entire enterprise the ability.
 Utility software is a program that specifically designed to help manage the performance of
the programs and maintain the health of device.
Operating systems is a system software that manages computer hardware and software
resources and a set of programs containing instructions that work together to coordinate all
the activities among computer and mobile device

4. Identify several key software issues and trends that have an impact on organisation and
individuals based on Freeware, Open-Source Software, and both.
Freeware software are the software that is very expensive for free, but whose source code
cannot be modified.
Open-source software are the software that freely available to anyone in a form that can be
easily modified and can contain hidden costs.
Both types of software often rely on a community of users and developers to provides
support and contribute to the development of the software.
5. State two types of graphic and media software and describe it
1.Multimedia authoring software
Allow users to combine,text,graphics,,audio,video and animation in an interactive
application.
2.A media player
A program that allows to view images,and animation,listen to audio, and watch video files
on computer or mobile devices.

Productivity applications is a application that enables one to produce or create, among
others,graphs,databases,documents,presentations,audio or video clips and worksheet.

applications and programs in a computer, and it is loaded into the computer by a boot
program.The example of operating System are windows,Linux and Android.
