SAMPLE COLLECTION ANALYSIS


LOCATION AND GEOLOGY OF THE AREA OF INTREST
4.1.Sample Collection
The present study is aimed to determineminerals in soil
sample collected at manigramam villaige, Mayiladuthurai
district,Tamilnadu.the one feet depth fromsurface soil sample
is collected in agricultural land.the sample is used for
analysis.The location of india ,Tamilnadu ,Mayiladuthurai and
ManigramamVillaige are shown in figure (1,2,3,4) respectively.

4.2.Geology of india
The geology of India is diverse. Different regions of India
contain rocks belonging to different geologic periods, dating as
far back as the Eoarchean Era. Some of the rocks are
very deformed and altered. Other deposits include recently
deposited alluvium that has yet to
undergo diagenesis. Mineral deposits of great variety are found
in the Indian subcontinent in huge quantities.

4.3.Geology of tamilnadu
Tamilnadu is a tenth largest state in the Indian covers an
area of 130,058 square kilometers (50,216 sq mi) the state of
tamilnadu is the southern provinence of the Indian penisulla
The minerals policies and practices in tamilnadu are industry
plendly and pro active .The potential reserves of various
minerals offer good business opportunities for investors .

4.3.1.Physiography
Tamilnadu lies between N 8 00 and N 13 30 latitudes and E
76 16’and 80’ kongitudes. Anaimudi and doddabetta in south
Indian ,rising to altitude of more than 2000 m in the Western
Ghats lie in tamilnadu and kerala state The Central part of the
constitute the kalrayan,the Chitteri , the pacahaimalai ,the
kollai malai ( kollai Hills) and shevaroy hills ,which are southern
and southeastern extensions of the eastern Ghat hill that
border the bay of Bengal in Orisa and Andrapradesh .
4.3.2 Geology
Tamilnadu represents an important high grade
metamorphonic terrain of global imporatance Geologically
divided into three zones viz, the northern rtegion and southern
region divided by a central region .

4.4.Geology of mayiladuthurai district gemorphology


The geomorphologic features observed in this stretch are
sub aerial delta strand plain,crevasses,cuspate,bars, estuarine
and swamps .The large part of the delta is occupied by their
distributors flood basins comprising browns and reddish gray
silty clay and fine sands .The coastline of mayiladuthurai is
straightened by south long shore currents from the kolidam
river mouth to point calimere from to further south the
coastline forms a bay .

4.4.1.Human
The district comprises of four talucks that is Kuthalam,
mayiladuthurai, sirkali and Mayiladuturai . Total population of
this district is 918,3569(2022)
4.4.2.Climate
The minmum and maximum temperature are 21.4 C
(70.5F) and 31.3 C(88.3) The average temperature is 28 .IC
(82.5)F

4.5.Geology of sirkali taluk


Sirklai taluk lise between 11.239 N 79.736 E and longitudes
. It is a fully agriculture in mayiladuthurai district in south
Indian state of Tamilnadu . It is one of the panchayat village of
sirkali taluk.

4.5.1.Agriculture
Agriculture is mainstay of the Economy of the district .
More than 90% of the polpulations of this Districts depend of
the agriculture . Rice, Cholam, Kambu, Ground
nut ,Cotton ,Coconut , and Bannana trees etc are the major
agriculture is crops all this areas . Main fruits like Mango,
Banana, and the Vegetables like Tomato are also grown well in
this Manigramam Village .
