Access to Standardized and Quality Education

Education, being the most powerful and influential thing, is a sturdy defense one can use to
change what’s not right and situations that are seeking amelioration. One quality of a good
citizen to a country is their ability to be competitive and smart with the society’s cruel
competition, to be able to propose an accessible teaching environment would be a great
contributory aspect when it comes to promoting Nationalism. This concept and idea are actually
included in the sustainable development goals and to think of it, this is part and involved in the
global objective. Nevertheless, the inclusion of this as a prospective indicator of Nationalism in
the 21st century is one thing that is obliging and advantageous in building a driving and goal
centered nation.

Youth being Engaged and Socially Aware

To become haunted by Rizal’s distinctive and remarkable line as he said that youth is the
nation’s hope and future is something that we all should look forward to. This young generation
would be the one holding our society’s state progress and prosperity as well as its fallout and
detriment. To become engaged with what’s currently happening is one thing but to be socially
aware is better. So many countrymen would lay their succeeding years to the rising phoenixes.
With that, being knowledgeable about present state matters would be a great steppingstone to
becoming the leaders we wished them to be. The youth being conscious of the needs and hope of
their countrymen will significantly contribute to a 21st Century Nationalism.

Promoting Social Inclusivity

Philippines has made great strides in promoting social inclusion. However, more needs to
be done to clarify what social inclusion means and how it can be further implemented, namely
access to education and healthcare, and social connections across diverse groups. (Llego, 2022).
Achieving universal healthcare requires providing equal access for all Filipinos, regardless of
social status or location. Extending healthcare coverage to underserved groups should be a top
priority (MSD in the Philippines, 2022). Disparities in health outcomes based on gender, income
level, ethnicity or disability status are unacceptable and diminish the overall health of the
population. The government should analyze healthcare data to identify gaps, then implement
targeted interventions to improve access and quality of care for disadvantaged groups. Also,
promoting an inclusive national identity while respecting regional differences will strengthen
unity in diversity. Valuing the contributions of all groups and providing equal opportunities
regardless of ethnicity, the Philippines can build a progressive society with a shared sense of
purpose. Overall, the nation must embrace its cultural richness by promoting mutual
understanding between groups and protecting the rights of minorities.

Abiding with the Advancement of Technology

The advancement of technology has created both new opportunities and difficulties,
particularly in the areas of connectivity and literacy. It is essential to make sure that every
Filipino people are equipped with the knowledge necessary to navigate the digital environment
and that everyone has equal access to digital aid. Individuals that are digitally literate are better
able to analyze sources critically and separate reliable information from the vast quantity of
online content. Understanding how to distinguish between false information and genuine sources
is crucial in a world where fake news and misinformation are rampant, especially in the
Philippines where 51% of Filipinos find it difficult to spot fake news on television, radio, or
social media platforms (Tuquero, 2022). With the use of this, we can promote knowledge and
appreciation for Philippine history, culture, and traditions through innovative educational tools
including digital resources and social media platforms and we should also develop formal
education courses that include media literacy. Also, teaching the students how to identify bias in
media, including social media, and how to evaluate sources, fact-check information, and identify
sources, will enable them to be factual and exterminate disinformation.

Solving Poverty through Job Offerings

Hospitals face shortage of healthcare workers which greatly affects healthcare access.
Patients are not being attended promptly which leads to poor health outcomes because the patient
and nurse ratio is not qualified to meet the needs of every patient. According to University of
Southern California 2023, the lack of healthcare professionals is a public health emergency
rather than an inconvenience. Also, it results in poor patient outcomes, which might include
hospital-acquired infections, patient falls, and elevated mortality rates. Therefore, the
government should be aware and concerned to our health care professionals by providing them
more benefits, and increase in their salary because many of them went abroad due to lack of
appreciation to them.
