Moral by simple definition is a lesson concerning about what is right and what is
wrong, in other terms we can best understand moral by the definition of ethics. In
addition, we best know the core values of the AFP and that is by valuing fairness, trust,
First reason is that we are the highly respected leaders of the country. We should
lead by example by doing what is truly right. Second, we as the AFP officer live by the
doctrines we are trained for. Next, it is our job to apply what is just in any situations that
requires the ability to decide on any circumstances that needs guidance from our
Rewards System stating that ‘officials and employees shall provide service to everyone
officers shall remain true to the people at all times. The officers carry the face of the
country that is why their very actions must be in line with their mottos as officers. By
being moral, life is balanced even here in the academy. In addition, it also an obligation
as an officer to think correctly regarding the right thing to do. By being moral, it shows
that the people can foster their trust and respect on you on your duties and
responsibilities. Lastly, it ensures the officers to a high standard.
Considering all these consolidated reasons as to why an AFP officer should be moral,
we come to conclude that by knowing the right thing to do we actually are helping each
other live peacefully. And as part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, we are leading
by setting the example. Its heartwarming to know and see how a great leader is leading
the community by doing what is right. We stand to the definition where moral is part of
our value and we live to it. We as human beings need morals to live a better life. And is
it not fulfilling in our hearts that at least somehow in a stressful world there is a chance
where we can still feel human? That is why I have connected the thing about moral to
our daily lives here in this world and as a responsible officer at the same time leader.
