WRT passage – Volunteering

I can understand why David and Lisa provide the ideas that giving remote

opportunities and making connections with volunteers can increase the rate of engagement.

However, I would like to provide other ways to reach the goal.

I believe that we can encourage more people to volunteer in their communities if

volunteering institutions advertise and expose more information to the public. This is because

getting the information about volunteering is difficult in the current system. Most information

is only posted at a certain website, then people are not able to find volunteer opportunities

unless they are interested in it a lot. Moreover, there are a lot of useful ways to notify the

volunteering opportunities, such as posting the information in a public bulletin board or

utilizing social network services.

In conclusion, I would like to argue that we can enhance the engagement of

volunteers by using better tools.
