Dear Student & Parent/Carer,

Year 12 Induction

Congratulations! We are delighted to confirm your place at Isleworth & Syon Sixth Form. To
ensure Year 12 students are ready to commence Sixth Form, they are expected to have
completed induction work for each subject they have chosen.

Induction work can be found on the Sixth Form Independent SharePoint page in the folder entitled
‘Year 11-12 Summer Transition Resources’. These materials can also be found here. Please
select the subject folder to access the materials. You need to evidence completion of work in the
first lesson in September for each subject chosen.

Now that you have completed your enrolment into Year 12, below is a few important pieces of
information.

Start of Term – Induction and Normal Lessons

Students will attend induction sessions on Wednesday 6 September, 8.40am – 1.00pm. These
sessions will outline the plan for the Autumn Term and help students prepare for the demands of
Key Stage 5 courses.

Normal lessons will commence on Friday 8 September at 9.40am.

Please note that attendance to the above dates is compulsory; if you are absent without an
authorised explanation, we will assume you have given up your place in the Sixth Form.

Sports Qualifications

If you have enrolled onto the vocational sport course (CTEC), you are required to wear school
crested sportswear that is available to purchase through our online PE shop. Please note that
tops and jumpers/hoodies that are not school-branded are not allowed to be worn as school kit,
except for plain black tracksuit bottoms or shorts. In the event your garments have not arrived by
the start of term, please wear your suit to lessons.
