CHRIST’S COLLEGE SIXTH FORM ENROLMENT

Dear student

Congratulations! Welcome to the start of the journey on your Sixth Form experience with us
at Christ’s College Finchley.

We are confident that we can give you the best start to your sixth form career and
independent studies providing you with the best options for studying at university, following
an apprenticeship scheme or your first steps into the world of work.

Students - Year 12 begins at 1.00pm on Tuesday 5th September

Report at the reception in the sixth form block at this time. You will then have a welcome
assembly followed by a chance to meet your new form tutors and receive your timetables. The
afternoon should finish around 2.30pm.

Parent and Student Information Evening at 5.45pm on Tuesday 5th September

Parents and students, please arrive at the reception in the sixth form block at 5:45 PM for a
6:00 PM start. This is an important opportunity for us to meet with the sixth form team and
ensure that we are all working together to make your time at sixth form as successful as
possible.

Lessons begin on Wednesday 6th September at 10.00am, you should arrive at 9.45am on this day
so that you are on time for your first lesson. From Thursday 7th September onwards school starts
at 8.40am.

DRESS CODE
The Sixth Form dress code is smart ‘business’ wear. As you are role models for our younger
students you need to set a good example in every aspect of school life.

Students should wear a collared shirt/blouse, smart trousers or skirt

Smart shoes (black, no logos).

Lanyards must be worn at all times and coats removed in lessons.

Students may wear a jacket and tie if they wish but these are not compulsory.

Smart knitwear is permitted but sportswear shouldn’t be worn.

Students arriving without appropriate dress will be sent home to change and will be required
to make up the time after school or at lunchtimes.

Please also remember:

● Wearing hats indoors is forbidden.

● Skirts and tops should be of an appropriate style and length (vest tops and crop tops
are not permitted)

● Hair should be neat and tidy, avoiding outrageous or cult styles or obvious colourings.

● Body piercings and tattoos are not acceptable. Apart from the ears, no other visible
body piercing is allowed.

● Earphones may only be worn in the Study centre.
