would you explain the criteria used to group those verb tokens according to the different
semantic domains?
3. Try different valency patterns for verbs of different semantic domains. Is it possible to
establish a generalization or correspondence between the valency patterns and the
semantic domains?
4. Can you explain why the word unexpected is used in the following sentence?
a. It is unexpected, however, to find conversation more conservative than the written
registers in using the irregular forms. (p. 396)
5. What does it mean for an affix to be productive? You might want to check the discussion
