What defines an editorial?

An editorial is essentially an article, which is written by editors or publishers


within a magazine or a newspaper. This article intends to express the opinions
this editors or publishers have about important and recent political, social and
economic issues. By expressing this opinions, an editorial resembles what the
views of the board of directors, owners or other powerful individuals in a
media company are. The purpose of an editorial is to draw a response from the
readers and attract new readership in competitive markets.
