内容 ゴール/ 目的
技術の基礎をマスターする 技術や製品、不具合事例やその調査手法の基礎について学
び、SC 配属後の活躍の基礎を形成する。

日報の記載、シェア（毎日） - 学んだ事を要約し、それに対する自分の感想や疑問点な
ど日々整理し、確認する習慣をつける。
- 日本語にて同僚へシェアし意見交換することで、日本語で
のコミュニケーション能力を向上させる。

① 本日の業務内容

- 1 to 1 attachment with Jonathan (calibration)

- Introduction of RS Detect which is eventually will replace TM-G5.
- Briefing from Bee Bee san.

② 達成できたことや成果につながったこと

Calibration with guidance from Jonathan

- N -type & 2.92mm Adapter

I tried to screw and unscrew N -type & 2.92mm Adapter. First, differentiate between male and
female connector, then determine the direction of both screw and unscrew, and where to hold and
torque (τ = r × F) using torque wrench. Every torque wrench has its limits, so do not overbend the
torque wrench and use spanner while screw and unscrew.

- Measurement Report

Watch through the measurement report and figure out where to track back the equipment from the
result, for example, reference frequency and harmonic frequency refer to spectrum analyzer, input
VSWR and output VSWR refer to VSWR-MESSBRUECKE, frequency which lower than3.3GHz refer
to signal generator, and frequency higher than 32GHz refer to probe.

- Software Upgrade

Need to manually upgrade the software. If there is any software problem, can request a C4C ticket.
Or else, roll back the previous software is another method to solve the problems before the version
is getting stable.

- Changing of the equipment.

We can add on equipment in equipment editor.

Meanwhile, we can use device manager in our PC to check if the equipment communication works.
NIMAX is used to troubleshot LAN/GPIB problems to check if the connection works or IP address
is correct.

RS Detect from research team

- Kit Man (Test developer) from RSRHQS and software developer from both German and from
RSRHQS demo RS Detect to us.
- There are 3 user permission level of RS detect which are editor, troubleshooter, and operator.
- We can choose test sequence and test site and start to detect calibration equipment.

- If all the equipment has been detected, we can proceed to select cases, then generate PDF report,
and finally complete our calibration.
- PDM stands for Product Data Management. Service department has not permission to access it,
basically developer and R&D has the right to access.

Briefing from Bee Bee san

- 5T is the sales, service, marketing organization.

- EUP stands for end user procedure. It is used to reduce the processing times for critical spare part
deliveries a new standardized escalation process for all service centers was implemented.
- We have been introduced the useful links in Service Operations Knowledgebase.
- UCS will be used first as more proper control, following by PBS which is mainly used at self-defense
due to it is self-sufficient. Unit Cal and ReCal+ is the other option in calibration.
- HOTS is a handbook which applies to all Rohde & Schwarz legal entities (“R&S Group of
Companies”) worldwide, for example RDA stands for Defective of Arrival.

- We have been told that Leicher is managing operation (e.g. manufacturing), Karl Courage is service
operator.
- POP stands for Product Online Profile. Be more detailed inside, FSWP -B is for hardware, FSWP -K
is for software. FSWP -K0 is for demo software. Service K0 is only for 1day.

③ 更なるチャレンジが必要だと考えることや改善・工夫をしてみたいこと

Next week try to catch up repairing knowledge with repairing team.

And, review back what I learned about calibration for the sake of calibration learning on 4th week.
And, really appreciate what Jonathan san, Bee Bee san, Leroy san and all the colleague who taught me
here!!

④ 一日を通して印象深かったポイント 3 つとその理由:　

- Review of this week.

1. Introduction of R&S and RS RHQS
2. Theory of RF/ Electronic/ On Job Training.
3. VNA calibration.
4. Auditor session
5. RS Detect sharing session
6. Measurement Report
7. Method to access Lotus note/ important links.

- Communication is important especially sharing any updated things in the service center.
- Make sure the measurable range of equipment before any calibration, for example still able to
measure certain frequency but the data is not traceable especially using power sensor.
- There is a demand in Japan which require high frequency. It is different with Singapore.
- There is a software updates excel file recording file has been showed to ensure the well
communication in Rohde Schwarz.
- Mailer is a program that sends email messages.
- There is an update in R&S which is success factor change to learning and performance.
- If there are any chances in future, I would be happy if I am able to attend German training (e.g.
classroom) or visit Munich factory to have a better practical understanding.
- Still managing to get access to IBM notes.
- I have attended a class as shown below. It is held at night, so basically, I joined it late.
