ENGLISH FIELD WORK

Portuguese Course, Year 1, 2nd Semester

Theme: Develop a Bibliography English Research Project with the topics that follow:

 Adjectives – (source: English For Everyone, from page 252 to 271; English Year 1
Manual from UCM, pages 42-47)
 Adverbs (source: English For Everyone, from page 274 to 286)

Introduction

In this work students will be working on two topics: Adjectives (comparative and superlative
degree) and Adverbs (adverbs of time, frequency, manner, ). These topics will improve students'
knowledge in grammar and will enable them to speak English better given the fact that grammar
is one of the most important aspects of any language including English. By the end of this work
students are expected to learn and be able to compare two or more people/things using
adjectives; they will also be able to use the different types of averbs both in writing and in
speaking.

Organizational criteria:
a) Use English Year 1 Manual from UCM, English for everyone, articles, links or any other
books considered necessary as long as the bibliographic reference is listed.

b) The work must be done individually. Any sort of similarity with other students' work will
be considered copy and the student will be given a Zero mark.

c) The marks for this Field work goes from Zero to Twenty.

d) Use Times New Roman font, size 12, 1,5 spacing.

e) The work must contain between 10 and 15 pages.

f) Must have: Cover, Contents page, Introduction, General and specific objectives,
methodology, development, conclusion and Bibliography.
g) When working on this work all APA format guidelines in the 6 th edition must be
followed.
