First Field work assignment of English Language Subject

Curso de Licenciatura em Ensino de Português, 1° Ano

Topic for fieldwork 1: Explain the Use and Forms of Present Simple and Present
Continuous Tenses, by giving practical examples contrasting them.

When doing the assignment you should talk about, without exception other important aspects,
the following contents: write sentences using the topic suggested in affirmative positive, negative and
interrogative forms. And don’t forget to mention the use of the third person singular.

It is very important to obey the following standards:


Layout of the assignment: cover, content page, introduction, development of the work all aspects
suggested, conclusion and bibliography. Maximum 15 pages e minimum 10 pages.
Font size: 12
Type of letters: Times New Roman.
Justify the text.
Note: in doing the present assignment you are obliged to respect some rules that we call
bibliographic references according to norms of the American Psychology Association (Normas
da APA) strictly recommended by IED in order to elaborate a scientific and academic
assignments. The obligation to use these norms is to give accuracy in scientific and academic
texts.

MARKS:

 Layout of the assignment and to follow strictly the formal norms or rules of the
elaboration of the assignments in Word (3 marks).
 Relevant aspects in the content, acknowledging or quoting the authors and conclusion
or final considerations (7 marks).

 Coherence of aspects related to the content and the capacity to add and comment using
your own words and thoughts and giving practical examples. (10 marks).

Note: The fieldwork assignment is individual, it is not acceptable, in any case, group works.
The mark varies within 0 (zero) to 20 (twenty) marks.

It is not allowable plagiarism, it can be, of existing articles from internet or he assignments of
colleagues.
