The issue of missing pets affects both pets and
their owners resulting in attack vulnerability in
pets and emotional distress in owners

 Data Collection Work Details

We have surveyed 50 other people through google forms. Out of it, 60% of them have stated that their pet went
missing at least once since after adopting them. The common cause was due to open gates. Only 40% of them
did not report such incidents. When asked about what they wished was done, many wanted something to
locate their pet during those times. Few suggested training and good care would help out.

We have surveyed about 35 people in person. 29 people were pet owners and shared their insights. The 6 others
did not own a pet but gave suggestions for this problem. Few of them include tracking, training, affection, and
frequent walks.
