I. Executive Summary
Alagang pilipinas is a community of dog lovers where you can discuss anything that is related to
dog care needs, recommended foods, travel options, places to go with your dogs and to help out
others who needs recommendations for anything about dogs. The website aims to give pet lovers
specifically dog lovers to have a convenient platform wherein they can have all the information
needed for dog care and needs.

II. General description of Business


Alagang Pilipinas is a community of dog lovers where you can discuss anything that is related to
dog care needs, recommended foods, travel options, places to go with your dogs and to
help out others who needs recommendations for anything about dogs. The researchers
come up with the idea of making this project is by joining various dog/pet lovers group
and listing down the common problems they encounter. As the researchers slowly gathers
information about the common problems dog lovers/owners encounter, they created
surveys to know the most significant problems of them all. Thus, the features of the
website is created. Dog owners/lovers will really benefit through this website because not
only they can be advertised through our shops but also almost all the needed features for
being an dog owner or dog lover is here.

III. Products and Services


Alagang Pilipinas provides different categories/features for all of the dog lovers/owners out
there. Here is the list of the features that Alagang Pilipinas have:

Recommended Veterinary Clinics – Alagang Pilipinas offers 3 of the most recommended


veterinary clinics in each region of the country. Since many dog owners/lovers wants to know
whether any veterinary clinics are available near them. The group considers this feature for it
will help the owners a lot.

Recommended Dog Foods – Some owners are picky when it comes to food intake of their dogs.
With this, Alagang Pilipinas has a feature that offers 3 of the top rated foods in Lazada. The list
consists of 3 categories (wet food, dry food and treats). We picked the most rated foods that
Lazada offers.

Dog-Friendly Malls – We found out that most of the dog owners/lovers wants to have a walk
with their dog in a specific place but they don’t have any idea if that place accepts or allows dog
in it. So, Alagang Pilipinas put a feature that owners can see a list of dog-friendly places.

Dog Adoption – Most of the owners exceeds the number of dogs that they can take care of and
some of them are finding people who can adopt and take care of the puppies instead of letting it
unto the streets. The team gathered dogs that are adopt-ready and we put the contact of the owner
for them to contact.

Grooming Services – Owners that are really wants to see their dog presentable finds grooming
services that offers high quality grooming service. The team includes mobile grooming service
and the prices of their services offered for the owner can know what price to expect.

Dog Friendly Transportation – This is a common issue in Philippines, for many owners doesn’t
own a private transportation but they want to travel with their dog. In this feature, we included
the article that says that pets are now allowed to ride PUV’s (Public Utility Vehicle) as long as
they have leash, cage, and odor-free. We also included GrabPet and their requirements to ride the
said service.

Forum – In this feature, users of the Alagang Pilpinas can have their feedbacks, recommendation
or any other topics that they want to put. They can ask questions about their dog and all the users
can answer it back. We also included an article on how to register their dogs.

Shop – Our website also has a shop where users can buy an item like food, shampoos, anti-flea,
tick, and lice sprays. They can also see the list of adopt-ready dogs and they can contact the
owner if they are interested.

IV. Technical Plan

Alagang Pilipinas is composed of 5 members and have different roles:

Project Manager – Responsible for all the planning, leading and organizing of the overall
project.

Quality Assurance – It is responsible for the overall quality of the product. All products are
checked before the release.

System Administrator – It is responsible for installing, supporting and maintenance of the


system.

Researcher – It is the one responsible for the information gathering and analyzing of data for the
project.

Developer – It is the one responsible for the coding, testing and designing of the website.

V. Marketing Plan
Target Market - The target market of Alagang Pilipinas are dog lovers based on the conducted
survey of the team, it was determined that majority of the pet lovers own a dog. The products that
will be displayed are for dogs. The team also targets all the dog lovers that wants to adopt and take
care of dogs that are ready to be adopted.

Channel to customer - To reach the target market, the team will promote the website through
social media. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.)

Competition - Primarily, our competition is google and Facebook groups for pets. Alagang
Pilipinas will be the summarized version of the other competition. It includes categories like
recommended dog foods, pet-friendly transportation, locations that are pet-friendly etc.

Current Situation – Channels that dog lovers gather information for the pets are thru google and
Facebook (majority from the survey).

Primary Motivation of Customers – the primary motivation of customers is:

1. Nearest veterinary clinic


2. Pet-friendly Locations and Transportations
3. Highest rating products regardless of the price. +

Niche – The niche of the team is the dog lovers. Majority of pet owners here in the Philippines
own a dog. Targeting this population of dog lovers are the main priority of the website.
