In support of the Department's policy development process, research agenda, and policy and program development and implementation, DepEd is committed to fostering and enhancing a robust research culture in basic education. Additionally, it recognizes the significance of disseminating and effectively utilizing research findings to cnhance learning outcomes, improve the teaching-learning process, and assess their impact at all levels of governance in basic education. 2. Relative to this, DepEd Regional Office Ill through the Policy, Planning, and Research Division will conduct the 2023 Regional Research Conference with a theme “Preparing for the Future of Basic Education through Equitable, Inclusive, and Evidence-Based Post-Pandemic Recovery” on July 19-21, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Eurotel Hotel, located at 1 Don Juico Avenue, Brgy. Malabanias, Angeles City. The objectives of the activity are as follows: 4.1 Provide a platform for select BERF grantees to share their research findings with a broader audience. 4.2 Highlight best practices developed through the conduct of research. 4.3 Identify the unique contributions of the research outputs to DepEd policies and programs. 4.4 Recognize the best research outputs and oral presenters in the region. 4. __ The activity shall only include approved and completed BERF studies from FY 2020 to FY 2022. All Schools Division Offices (SDOs) shall select one research Paper per category for presentation at the conference. A researcher who has been promoted may present a paper he or she conducted in his previous position. All presenters must adhere to the guidelines specified in Annex 1 S. _ Participants in the conference are the Senior Education Program Specialist in Planning and Research and all the select research presenters. All the participants are required to be present for the entire duration of the three-day activity. Further, all participants are required to come in business professional attire. All research papers will be evaluated by invited research experts from different organizations and Higher Education Institutions (HEls). They will choose three exceptional papers (1*', 24 and 3! place) and one best oral paper presenter for each category. All winners will be announced and awarded on the third day of the conference. The research papers of the winners will be published in the DepEd RO3's PROBE Research Journal. Further, SEPS shall serve as moderators for the break-out sessions (See Annex 3). 7. Food and accommodation of the participants shall be charged to the Regional MOOE while the transportation and other incidental expenses of the participants shall be charged to the Division MOOE subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. Breakfast will be served on the first day of the activity. 8. Immediate dissemination and strict compliance with this Memorandum is enjoined.
