FACTS OF THE CASE:

That about 11 1330H, 2023, FO1 James B Layorn received a call from the
Office of the Prov’l Fire Marshal, Indang BFP informing the duty personnel of this
station that a residential fire was in progress in Brgy. Poblacion 3, Indang, Cavite.
Immediately thereafter, the Rayab firetrack 2 was dispatch driven by FO2 Guision G
Robertson with SFO2 Batty B Man, FA Jean E Warren and FA Arnold G Lee. The
firetruck 3 was driven FO2 Bert D Tindog, with SPO2 Chester R Bulaon, FA James F
Falcon, and FA Alraffy F Penus as crew and proceed to the said location. Upon
arrival the scene, the team conducted size- up of the situation and it was found out
that the ground floor is engulfed by fire. Responding firefighters laid their hoses and
conducted direct attack to suppress the fire. The fire was recorded under control at
around 1520H, the fire was totally extinguished and declared fire out at 1630H on the
same day. Investigation was thereafter conducted.

DISCUSSION:

The majority of the area had already been destroyed by the fire when we
arrived. Due to the restricted quantity of water the fire responders could give and the
absence of fire hydrants in the area, it was difficult for them to put out the fire. The
thick, dense smoke that the interior's burning materials emitted presented another
difficulty for the fire fighters. A challenging situation results from the flashover that
quickly swept across the institution. The testimony of the witnesses and victims was
also crucial in determining the cause of the fire, but while the inquiry is ongoing, it is
yet unknown.

RECOMMENDATION:

Always comply with the regulations for the establishment to avoid any issues
that could arise during fire incidents and other tragic situations. To avoid potential
casualties in the future, this requirement's crucial value is required. To bring about
justice and punish those responsible for the tragedy, a thorough investigation is
being conducted.
