Meaning:
You who are complete in auspicious qualities; bhagavati
Sriman Narayana puruShottama: is the loving consort kAnta: to You; te Adisesha, the chief of serpents, phaNipati: is Your bed shayyA Garuda, the chief of birds, vihageshvara: who has the Vedas as his body, vedAtmA is Your seat Asanam and vehicle; vAhanam the primordial substance mAyA which deludes the world jaganmOhini is your veil; yavanikA Brahma, Shiva and the devas brahmeshAdi suravraja: along with their consorts sadayita: are Your multitudes of servants; tvat dAsa dAsI gaNa: and your divine name te nAma cha is Shri: shrI: iti eva How will katham we, who are so ignorant, vayam describe brUma: You, who has such greatness? tvAm
tAM tvAM dAsa iti prapanna iti cha stoShyAmi ahaM nirbhaya:
lokaikEshvari! lokanAthadayite! dAnte! dayAM te vidan ||
Meaning:
The sole Ishvari to all worlds! Lokai kEshvari
Dear consort to Him, who is the Lord of all worlds! lokanAtha dayite One who is full of mercy! dAnte Your greatness mahimAnam which is immeasurable and niravadhim which naturally always conforms to Him, svata: nitya anukUlam is something yasyA te that cannot be measured and known mAtum na alam as this much, iyattayA even by Your Lord who is the Ishvara, prabhu: tvat vallabha: api like His own greatness. Atmana: iva I, who know Your mercy, te dayAm vidan aham as Your servant, dAsa: iti and as one who has surrendered to You, prapanna: iti cha pray to stOShyAmi You tAm tvAm without fear. nirbhaya:
