Narrative Report (Research Forum)

To open the celebration of the EduQuest 2022, a Research Forum took place in the first
day of the 3-day event at the 27th of October 2022.

The Research Forum took place in the 3rd Floor Library of the University of Luzon. The
students entered the venue according to their major. Starting with the students from the
Bachelor of Elementary Education. They were shortly followed by the students from the
Bachelor of Physical Education, FilMaj, LaSo, Math Circle, SASE, SocStud, and Values Ed.

Before the program officially started, the emcees interviewed some students about their
expectations for EduQuest 2022.

The program officially started at 9:30 in the morning with the invocation led by the
president of the Bachelor of Physical Education majors, Jemimah Manuel, followed by the
singing of the National Anthem conducted by the president of the Social Studies Guild,
Jacqueline Ramos, and the singing of the UL Hymn.

The program proceeded with the welcome address delivered by the College of
Education Student Council president, John Norman Rodriguez. Afterwards, the Dean of the
College of Education, Dr. Imelda E. Cuartel formally opened the start of the event.

Three research were presented in the Research Forum.

The first research was presented by Ms. Vinice Jovero Cayabyab and Ms. Mary Kathrina
Quinones Salazar, former Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English students at the
University of Luzon. Their research was entitled “Utilization of Climbing Grammar Mountain
Online Game in Enhancing the Performance Level of Students in Verb Tenses.”

The second research entitled “Dialogue as Technique in Improving Pupil’s Vocabulary”


meanwhile, is presented by former Bachelor of Elementary Education students, Ms. Aila Mae
Cervantes, Ms. Pauleen Jessica Ferrer, and Ms. Cindy Abejera.

The last research presented was qualitative research with the topic “Parents-Teachers
Assistance during pandemic” presented by Ms. Rizzel Aparicio and Ms. Harija Meredith Datu-
Indal, 4th year students from the Bachelor of Elementary Education.

After the presentation of the research, Dr. Imelda E. Cuartel gave an encouraging
message about the importance of holding Research Forums like these. The certificate of
recognition was awarded to each respective presenter after Dr. Cuartel’s message. This marked
the end of the Research Forum, the morning program for the first day of EduQuest 2022.
