1. Explain what the video is about?

(One paragraph)

Pico Iyer talks about his own definition of home in the world where old
boundaries of nations no longer apply as people constantly travel to
different places. In this video, he also tells the story of his life and how
he keeps moving from one place to another. From that, he considers
himself not only as an Indian, but many other nationalities where he has
stayed for a certain period. Then, Pico Iyer concluded with the joy of
having more than one ‘home’.

2. Share your thoughts on the speaker's main idea. Do you agree or

disagree? Why? (One paragraph)

As an international student, I partly agree with Iyer. The fact is that

most of my family members don’t live in the same place as they were
originally born. Therefore, I understand deeply why Pico Iyer believes
that where he comes from now is much less important than where
you’re going. Iyer’s inspiring speech teaches me how the environment
around you helps shaping your unique identity. On the other hand, I
disagree with him in the way that he mentions home is where you stay
the longest. The reason behinds it is because my mom has lived in
Saigon, Vietnam for 30 years but that doesn’t mean Hanoi – where she
was raised, is not her home. I personally believe that everywhere you
feel safe, comfortable, and loved can possibly become one of your
homes. In conclusion, the definition of home varies from one to
another.
