RE: CONTRACT NO. RDA/CE/026/014 CONSTRUCTION OF MATUMBO AND
KAMPEMBA BRIDGES ACROSS LUANGWA AND KAMPEMBA RIVERS IN CHAMA
DISTRICT OF MUCHINGA PROVINCE.

Subject: Comments on the Reviewed Project Progress Report

No.1 For The Month Of July,2023 After Remobilization.
The above Matter refers.

We wish to acknowledge receipt of progress report No.1 for the month of July,2023
after the contractor’s remobilization.

We have reviewed your report and noted the following:

1. Work Program (item 4.0) the program of works submitted is not very clear
Kindly submit a clear progress of work from the contractor.
2. Key Personnel (item 5.1) we have noted the key personnel on the project as
indicated in the report are different from those proposed in the original contract.
Kindly clarify and confirm if they have been approved by the Client (RDA).
3. Equipment on site (item 6.1) we have noted that the model of the
Generator(100KW) is different from the model indicated in the original contract.
Kindly clarify and confirm if this equipment is able to perform the required work
as the equipment indicated in the original contract and kindly highlight your
approval of this equipment.
a. We have noted on the description that characteristics of equipments were
not included, kindly ask the contractor to provide full information of the
equipment on site. For example, tonnage of tipper trucks was not included
in the report
4. Variation Orders (item 12.0). On the first statement the word right before
the full stop is suppose to read as “Committee” not comment, kindly take note
and correct it.
 5. Health, Safety and Environment (item 13.1) as indicated in the report that
the contractor is yet to engage the local health Practitioner, kindly asses the
health practitioner and see if He/She is qualified and indicate in the next report.

Please note that the following information was not included in this report;

 The method statement

 Quality assurance plan
 Environmental management plan

Kindly note the corrections and the information missing in this report and ensure that
they are rectified
