An Introduction of Solo

Surakarta also known as Solo, is one of the cities in Central Java.


Solo is famous for its culture and culinary tourism with various types of
foods. Therefore, a lot of people who are interested in culture and love to
eat, make their travel decision to come to this city, including me. I have
been going to Surakarta for several time, either with my family or my
friends.

That is why, NOW, I will talk and give you some


insights about the interesting parts of Surakarta!!
Tourist Attraction

As I mention before, Surakarta is famous


for its culture and culinary tourism.
Therefore, when you come to Solo, you
can explore a lot of historical places such
as Kampung Batik Laweyan as the first
batik village in Indonesia. In here you can
take a lot of photos, see a lot of Batik, and
learn how to make Batik by yourself.

You can also visit Mangkunegaran Palace


and Kasunanan Palace. Besides, there are
also museums in Solo, such as Keris
Nusantara Museum, Batik Danar Adi
Museum, and many other museum.

and wonderful foods in Surakarta! This is
the top three of food that I recommend for
you!

1) Selat Solo

of vegetables and pour with semur soup.

2) Serabi Solo
Traditional pancake from Solo. Sweet and
savory!

3) Es Dawet Selasih
A traditional drink which taste
sweet and fresh at the same time!

After we talked about what kind of foods that you can try and eat in Solo, now
this is the time to introduce you to the best restaurants in Solo. First is Selat
Solo Mbak Lies. This is the best place to enjoy Selat Solo. Besides, you can
also take some beautiful pictures here because they decorate their restaurants
in unique way. Second, Pasar Gede Solo. This is the heaven of culinary
tourism. A traditional market with a lot of traditional foods, such as es dawet,
nasi rames, klepon, cakwe, and many other foods!
Night life in Solo?

The night life in Solo is so incredible. If you visit Solo and choose to stay
about 1 or 2 nights you make a good decision! You can walk around in
Alun-alun and enjoy the night life in Solo. Otherwise, you can have a night
culinary tourism in Galabo. The heaven of various types of foods from
traditional to modern. Besides, you can walk to Shi Jack which will serve
you nasi kucing and hot milk. While you exploring the night of Solo, you
can also interact with other tourists even local people too.

Souvenir?

If you want to buy souvenir for your family you can visit Pasar
Klewer. In here you can buy batik with a low price, clothes,
things like keychain and many other. Moreover, there are a lot of
batik store like Baladewa with high quality around this area. You
can use becak to come here or taxi or your own car.
